Hey Friends!
With the big day coming faster and faster, I can not help but look back at the entire process and be amazed that I am actually doing this. From understanding the lingo on the application to obtaining the right documents and just plain figuring out what to do, it has been a process. I must say that I am actually glad to be leaving the US, I am not the proudest of citizens simply because I believe our society is headed toward self destruction, but there are a few things I am going to miss. The first being the celebration of food that occurs in The States. Earlier in the summer, I expressed to my mom that I was sad to be missing thanksgiving this year however, today, my mother made a complete and total Thanksgiving dinner! HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE! If you do not believe me, I have included a photo below!
With everything that is going on this week to get ready to leave, this post will be short but, next week, I will get to share the first of many adventures with all of you! Look for my post next Sunday and encourage others to read!

It's Only The Beginning.
Hey Friends!
As many of you probably know, or if you are a soon to be follower, in the next week and a half I am moving to Europe to begin my master's degree through the University of Kent in Canterbury, England. My journey will begin in Canterbury, I look to actually making it there unlike Chaucer's characters, and then I will complete my degree with nine months in Rome, Italy. My family and friends have asked me to blog about what I will be doing in the next year, so I am going to try and deliver! Here is just a precursor to what will come, including some thoughts, fears, and milestones I am sure I will celebrate!
When I think about my departure date that is looming closer and closer, I think about how long I have waited to be in an environment where I thrive, which usually consists of an overwhelming amount of situations that have an unknown ending. I do not fear the unknown because often times, the unknown ending in a situation is an opportunity to create and make it your own. I am also excited to start the point in my career where I get in invent knowledge instead of just rewriting what has already been figured out. Who only knows what I might find! One thing I fear first and foremost is the person I will become from this experience, I like who I am right now and am incredibly proud of the accomplishments I have achieved thus far. I know that I can only change for the better but the future is a scary place that we cannot see until it is right under our feet. I hope that the next year is full of a good dose of failure but also an abundance of happiness as well.
I also can not wait to share this experience with one of my really good friends Juhl! We met three years ago through Tri-Sigma and Juhl is one person who has constantly displayed not only the bond of sisterhood, but true friendship! We are both adventurous and outgoing which means that nothing will probably be off limits, only God knows what shenanigans we could find for ourselves.
I suppose I should also address why I titled this blog "Let Me Just Say This.." If there is one thing I know about myself it is that I definitely have my opinions on a multitude of things. I find that whether I am in an argument, a debate on a controversial issue, or even just a simple conversation with many other people, I tend to say "Let Me Just Say This..." right before I say my peace on whatever I have to say. Therefore, this blog will be my peace on everything I experience in the next year. I beg you to not take anything personally and read with an open mind.
Finally, this summer has lloonngggg and full of milestones, day to day celebrations and let downs, and recently great loss. Joan Rivers once said (Yes, I am seriously quoting Joan Rivers) "If you don't do what you want to do, you're a fool." If there is one thing I am sure of right now, it is that life is too short to be a fool and to not go after everything you want. Good things come to those who wait so while I am just waiting on those good things to happen, I am going after everything else I want. It's only the beginning and I cannot wait to see where I end up at in the end, I sure hope all of you are here to see where I end up to!
